We were thinking of doing "candy cane" theme colors and hoops this year -- lots of red and white and stripes if you can!! Can't manage? No worries!

March with us in the New Paltz Pride Parade in honor of the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, Sunday, June 2, 2019!
It's
the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall. Celebrate
the achievements of
our LGBTQ brothers and sisters, and march in support of the work that still
needs to be done!
In
honor of the event, dress like it’s 1969 if you like…we’re thinking go-go
dancer, hippie, Twiggy, you get the idea!
No worries if you dress as you are.
Meet
in the New Paltz Middle School
parking lot on Sunday, June 2019 at noon.
Parade kicks off at 1. We hope to
see you there!
Stonewall:
Fifty years ago, the New York Police Department attempted to
raid the Stonewall Inn on Christopher
Street , a safe haven for lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, and queer patrons. But the early morning hours of June 28, 1969
saw a change in the course of history when those New Yorkers fought back and
started the multi-day uprising that we now know as the Stonewall Riots, led by
transgender and lesbian activists of color, including Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia
Rivera, and Stormé Delarverie. This moment marked the start of our modern LGBTQ
rights movement. We are proud to announce that this Pride, the Center will be
looking back on this history, and marching forward in the footsteps of our
elders.

Community-building "Scarlet Begonias" Hoop Dance at the Gratefully Yours Family Picnic Friday, May 24 at 5 p.m.!
Hey hoopers! Join us for the group dance--or just chill--your choice. We want you to join the Heart of Gold Band and kick off Festival Season with Gratefully Yours at the biannual Family Picnic at Rosendale Rocks the River!
This dance takes 5 minutes to learn and makes the world a better place. We hope to see you there!
There is a small donation of $10 collected at the gate so Ron can continue to break even on these awesome concerts.
The entrance to 375 Rt. 213 (Main Street) in Rosendale is just to the right of the barber shop on the south side of Rt. 213. Parking is allowed on the south side (eastbound) and if you luck out you'll get a spot, but parking in the municipal lot (behind the Rosendale Theatre) is super close and easy.

New Hoops for the Rosendale Youth Center!
THANKS to everyone who donated (especially Stacy and Maria!), to those who ran the hoop workshop (Chiara and Stacy), and to those who donated hoops and time (Elena, Bonnie, Chiara) so that the Rosendale Youth Center could have more than a handful
of bent or broken hoops for our youth to play with.
A special thanks to Matt, Youth Program Director, for coordinating this event!
